Galveston, Post Hurricane Ike

I was looking through files on my hard drives as I was backing them up and I came across a folder from Galveston when my friend Brandy came into town. I'm pretty sure I never posted these, and there's just a couple so I figured I'd show you real quick. This was back in November 2009 and it's the first time I'd been down to Galveston since Hurricane Ike hit, and sadly, I haven't been back since, tho I'm looking forward to it this summer. In about 3 minutes of google, i see the website for the Flagship Hotel still up, but the latest news about it I can find is from October 2009, so I'm pretty sure it's still closed. It was pretty sad to see it like it stood back in November.

After a few minutes there, Brandy, Amanda, and I went over to the strand to eat and do some shopping. In case you didn't know, I was and still occasionally am a trumpet player, so i love this art down there!
